What a week...
Monday had school until 6plus and was still very tired from the KL trip...
Younger sis was hospitalised that night due to some drug allergy to painkillers that her doctor gave for her backache. So I went to SGH to visit her on Tuesday right after my Bassoon lesson and stayed there till 10plus. Waited so long for a cab and we ended up taking train back home carrying the fruits basket that Barweils sent to my sis. Tired again. Ended up holding my notes to sleep.
Wednesday was another long day of school and rehearsal for Carol's senior recital ended at 6plus. Good thing was we had pizzas and chicken wings to eat after that.
Btw, I was so blardy pissed by this year 1 boy from the land of animal cruelty and cheap labour (Yes, I'm being mean here, cos I'm really in a lousy mood this week). I asked him to play the note that we have in unison. I hummed it and thought it was a tad too sharp. So I asked him if he could lower the pitch. He said, " My 'E' is always quite in tune with the tuner. Maybe you should go sharper." My face immediately went black and I shut up. Screw you! It's not even my composition, why am I so concerned about it? If you think you're so in-tune, so be it. Your teacher will put you back in your rightful place soon enough.
Anyway, after the satisfying pizza dinner, I went for cheryl's recital. That went really well and I'm so glad for her. Auntie took a picture of me as evidence that I was there! In fact, I had told Cheryl earlier that morning I wasn't going to be there for her recital cos I had to prepare for my mid-term exam the next day. But clever Auntie took my picture liao...so I had better turn up for her recital! :p
Saw Midori, Wang Tong and some of her students among her friends and family who were present at her recital. So after the recital, we all headed to Regent Hotel to listen to Dr. Mak play jazz with the Jeremy Monteiro trio until about 12am. Crap. I had wanted to go home, but Cheryl was going to leave for USA the next morning and not coming back until 3 wks after...I guess I could sacrifice that bit of time to celebrate and send her off as well. Oh, and I bumped into my music history teacher with her MPO musician-husband at the hotel entrance! Haha...Just now she asked me if I had enjoyed last night. I told her I couldn't really, cos I was so stressed up about her exam. HAH.
At home, I slept for 3hours (again! that's the 3rd time in less than a week! :). Then woke up to study. I tried to study too much again and in the end didn't get much things into my tired brain. Sigh. After tonight's recital, no more Shulamite Women for me!!!
And YES. Friday's coming! T.G.F.F. (Thank God for Fridays) :)
